Leader Education is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in Cramlington, Northumberland. As a Support Worker for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 2-19 reach their full potential.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a refer-a-friend bonus scheme and free CPD training. Our normal working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30 until 15:30.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people who have SEND and a genuine interest in helping them develop social and emotional skills. You will need an enhanced DBS check and be able to provide 1-2-1 support to students with EHCPs.

  • Provide individualised support to students with diverse needs
  • Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing
  • Assist in the development of social and emotional skills
