Senior Sailing Programme Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sailing Programme Coordinator to join our team at Walhampton School. This is a unique opportunity to develop and lead sailing programmes for students of all abilities, promoting sporting excellence and encouraging a lifelong passion for the sport.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff and specialist coaches to deliver high-quality sailing lessons, training sessions, and regattas. As a key member of our sports department, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting pupils, identifying talent, and encouraging competitive progression.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement inclusive sailing programmes that cater to diverse skill levels and ages
- Organise and lead sailing lessons, training sessions, and regattas, ensuring exceptional safety standards
- Maintain and improve equipment and facilities to support programme delivery
- Mentor and support pupils, providing guidance on skills development and competition
- Ensure sailors thrive by offering meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Powerboat Level 2 certification (desirable)
- Proven experience in sailing instruction and programme management
- Able to engage and inspire pupils of different ages and skill levels
- Strong commitment to safety and high-quality instruction
