As a key member of the educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have access to a meaningful and inclusive education.

Job Description:
  • About the Role:
  • Assist in planning and implementing tailored lesson plans for students with SEND
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Support students in developing independence, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being, implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviours
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive support network for students
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring all students are engaged and included
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEND education

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting students with special educational needs. A background in teaching or education is highly desirable, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is essential.
