Job Overview

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their client school as a Learning Support Assistant or Cover Supervisor. This rewarding role involves working with students who have a variety of learning needs, providing one-on-one or small group support to empower them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to enhance student progress and promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
  • Support identified students within the classroom environment, in small group situations, and on a one-to-one basis.
Requirements
  • Sound educational background, including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young people who are vulnerable and/or have special educational needs.
  • Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.
Benefits

This 31-hour per week term-time only position offers a competitive salary of £23,500 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience. Aspire People provides a range of training in SEND, focused on whole-school SEND issues and specific training for SEND teams. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded High School in Cheadle Stockport, enhancing students' progress while promoting their independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
