About the Role

We are seeking an experienced teacher to join our team, specializing in SEN further education. As a member of our community, you will be responsible for promoting the intellectual, physical, and personal development of students in your class group.

Your role will involve creating tailored lesson plans based on individual student needs, collaborating with support staff, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Requirements
  • A teaching degree or postgraduate certificate, QTS or QTLS qualification is required.
  • Previous experience working with students who have sensory impairments, autism, and communication difficulties is essential.
  • British Sign Language or Makaton or signalong experience is desirable.
  • You must have a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and individual learning plans.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The location of the role is Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6RQ.
