We are seeking a highly skilled Case Officer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the statutory assessment process that can lead to an Educational Health & Care Plan for children and young people.

The Role:

  • Responsibility for case load work within the team's processes
  • Reviewing and investigating cases and taking appropriate further action
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders and professionals involved with the cases
  • Accurate recording of information onto systems and tracking progress on individual cases
  • Liaising with managers and stakeholders for relevant meetings over progress reports on cases

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a SEND Caseworker within a local authority
  • Knowledge of Education Health Plans and their process and the legislation around the EHCP process
  • Good administration and time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • An ability to work to deadlines and targets and deal with high volumes of work
  • Good IT skills and an ability to pick up new IT systems and processes quickly, including the use of spreadsheets
  • An ability to record data accurately in line with guidance and procedures
  • Good customer service and communication skills
