About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team at Mencap. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with a learning disability, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Individuals to Live Independently - assisting with budget management, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Building Relationships - supporting individuals to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community and Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal Care - assisting individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
