About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Bradbury Centre, a day service based in Seaford. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals attending the day service
  • Assist with daily activities, such as cooking, arts and crafts, and IT skills
  • Help individuals develop their independence and confidence
  • Support individuals with their personal care needs, as required
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other professionals
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Basic IT skills and ability to learn new software
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to confidentiality
