Job Description:

We are seeking a College Counselling Specialist to join our team at ACS International Schools in Cobham, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take on a leading role in college counselling for students in grades 9 to 12.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead educational and informational programs related to college counselling, including student, teacher, and parent workshops, open evenings, assemblies, etc.
  • To stay up-to-date on university placement trends through professional development and conference attendance.
  • To be the college counsellor for a group of students in grades 11 & 12, working closely with the college counselling department.
  • To meet regularly with students and families to advocate for their college application process.
  • To work with advisors to facilitate course selection and the college application process.
  • To improve and standardize faculty advocacy letters.
  • To work with the English Department to develop application essays and personal statements.
  • To implement and develop Bridge-U usage in the college application process.
  • To establish and maintain relationships with university admissions personnel.
  • To manage college placement records and produce reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in High School College Counselling is essential.
  • Experience in teaching is preferred, with strong IT skills.
  • Knowledge of Bridge-U and PowerSchool is preferred.
