Job Description

The Neuropathology Specialist will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients at Kings College Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Neuropathology to join our team and contribute to the development of our department.

About Us

Kings College Hospital is one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts, providing a wide range of medical services to patients from across South East London and Kent.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide clinical supervision of junior medical/dental practitioners
  2. Contribute to the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of the Care Group's Business Plan
  3. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
  4. Undertake research and publish relevant articles or case reports
  5. Develop and deliver educational programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students

Requirements

  • Registerable basic medical qualification such as MBBS or equivalent
  • Final FRCPath or equivalent
  • Experience in all aspects of Neuropathology, culminating in award of Certificate of Completion of Training by GMC, or award of Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR) by GMC
  • Able to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams
