Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist with leadership expertise in cardiology and/or genetics to lead our Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) service.

The ICC service provides comprehensive care for patients across South East London through the Kings Health Partners sites of Kings College Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital, and Guy's Hospital. This role is mainly based at the Kings College Hospital site of Denmark Hill but will involve managing a team of clinical nurse specialists across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of nurses who provide cardiac and genetic care for patients, including clinics for family pedigree assessment, psychological support, patient education, and genetic testing. Recent service developments include nurse-led Ajmaline testing, nurse-led inherited arrhythmia clinics, and the development of pediatric transition clinics and pathways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead a team of clinical nurse specialists in providing comprehensive care for patients with inherited cardiac conditions.
  • To manage and supervise the ICC nursing team, including allied health professionals and administrative staff.
  • To develop and implement policies and protocols to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality services.
  • To work closely with other departments and specialists to provide cohesive care to patients.

Salary: £61,927 - £68,676 per annum
