About the Role

As a Specialist Diabetes Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to patients with diabetes. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting and facilitating high-quality individualized care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision.

Key responsibilities include providing evidence-based nursing advice, supporting and deputizing for senior nurses, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to educate and advise on diabetes care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, provide specialist evidence-based nursing advice to support high-quality individualized care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision.">
  • Support and deputize for senior diabetes specialist nurses, dealing with complex situations and taking appropriate action in various settings.">
  • Provide expert advice and education to healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with diabetes and their carers.">
  • Be flexible in your approach to clinical areas and provide cover at all sites, acting as a professional role model providing direct and indirect clinical care, teaching, and research.">

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, starting from £43,041 - £61,758 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including career development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a staff recognition scheme.

What We're Looking For

">

We are looking for an experienced RGN level 1 nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in a similar role. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, teaching skills, and computer literacy. Knowledge of NSF for diabetes and leadership theory is desirable.

Salary: £43,041 - £61,758 per annum
