Midwife Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced midwife to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This fixed-term position will involve working on a 2-day diabetic midwifery service, providing support and reassurance to women and birthing people referred to this service.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a midwife in this role, you will be responsible for providing prime care to women and birthing people with pre-existing diabetes or those diagnosed during pregnancy. Your duties will include:
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized, woman-centered care
- Providing continuity of midwifery care within the continuity of care team
- Supporting the collection of data on outcomes and participating in ongoing audits and quality improvement projects

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a midwife with the following qualifications and experience:
- Midwifery degree or equivalent
- Mentorship or full SSSA preparation
- Registered Midwife (on NMC register)
Desirable qualifications include diabetic experience and experience working with pregnant women with complex medical or social needs.
