About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Education Specialist to join our team at Regent College London.

Job Description

This is a fixed-term contract position, with a salary of £18,750.00-£31,250.00 per month, and will require you to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend availability. The ideal candidate will be based in North West London and have the ability to commute or relocate before starting work.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area, be eligible for Fellow status under the Advanced Higher Education Professional Standards, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Deliver high-quality teaching sessions to students, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
    • Maintain accurate attendance records and collaborate with the attendance team to ensure digital registers are up-to-date.
    • Develop and implement effective teaching materials, incorporating feedback from students and peers.
  • Assessment and Marking:
    • Set and support students in completing assessments on time, ensuring they meet the required standards.
    • Participate in standardisation and moderation meetings to maintain assessment quality.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Student Support:
    • Address student engagement and performance issues, signposting them to specialist services as needed.
    • Support students with pastoral needs, referring them to relevant services when necessary.
    • Monitor individual students' learning progress, liaising with specialist services when required.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Contribute to programme evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and best practices.
    • Engage in Programme Committee meetings, sharing expertise to enhance student experiences.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications and Experience:
    • Master's degree in a relevant subject area.
    • Eligibility for Fellow status under the Advanced Higher Education Professional Standards.
    • Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and quality management in a higher education environment.
  • Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
    • Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
    • PhD in a relevant subject area or equivalent expertise gained through leading-edge practice.
