Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and ensure they are checked in manually
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
  • Make appointments, including telephone, follow-up, and urgent appointments
  • Deal with messages from patients, clinicians, or external bodies, taking appropriate action when required
  • Record requests for home visits and pass them on to the duty doctor
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files safely
  • File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
  • Assist with QoF and Enhanced Services reporting and planning

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work as part of a team, maintain a high level of professionalism, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders. You will also need to be able to listen, empathise, and support people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
