Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients, ensuring they are checked in and processed efficiently.
  • Answer telephone calls, responding to enquiries and providing accurate information.
  • Manage appointments, including scheduling, follow-ups, and urgent appointments.
  • Handle messages from patients, clinicians, and external bodies, taking appropriate action when required.
  • Record requests for home visits and ensure they are passed on to the duty doctor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files securely.
  • Scan hospital reports and letters, ensuring patient correspondence is up-to-date.
  • Conduct patient and GP Registrar surveys.
  • Assist with QoF and Enhanced Services reporting and planning.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with individual responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, empathise, and support patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective prioritisation and planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
