Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and organized Apprentice Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to the smooth operation of our medical centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and ensure they are checked in manually
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
  • Make appointments, including telephone, follow-up, and urgent appointments
  • Manage messages from patients, clinicians, and external bodies
  • Record requests for home visits and pass them on to the duty doctor
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files securely
  • File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
  • Assist with patient and GP Registrar surveys
  • Support the practice manager with call and recall of patient lists
  • Contribute to QoF and Enhanced Services reporting and planning

Requirements

  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
