Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Medical Receptionist. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and ensure they are checked in manually
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Make appointments, including telephone, follow-up, and urgent appointments
- Handle patient messages and take appropriate action
- Record requests for home visits and pass them on to the duty doctor
- Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files securely
- File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
- Assist with patient and GP Registrar surveys
- Support the practice manager with call and recall of patient lists and QoF and Enhanced Services reporting
Requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and plan actions under pressure
