Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our front desk, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, handling telephone enquiries, making appointments, and maintaining confidentiality of patient records.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients on arrival, ensuring they are checked in manually
- Answer the telephone, dealing with enquiries and making appointments
- Responsible for dealing with messages from patients, clinicians, or external bodies, taking appropriate action when required
- Record requests for home visits and pass them onto the duty doctor on call
- Safely handle patient files, maintaining confidentiality at all times
- File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
- Assist with QoF and Enhanced Services reporting and planning, including searches, recalls, and coding
Requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team, with individual responsibilities, maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and support people from diverse backgrounds and communities
- Ability to prioritize and plan actions, using own initiative when under pressure
