Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our team as an Apprentice Receptionist. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patients are checked in manually upon arrival
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
  • Make appointments, including follow-up and urgent appointments
  • Handle messages from patients, clinicians, and external bodies, taking appropriate action when necessary
  • Record requests for home visits and pass them on to the duty doctor
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files safely
  • File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
  • Conduct patient and GP Registrar surveys
  • Assist with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF) and Enhanced Services reporting and planning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
