Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our team as an Apprentice Receptionist. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patients are checked in manually upon arrival
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
- Make appointments, including follow-up and urgent appointments
- Handle messages from patients, clinicians, and external bodies, taking appropriate action when necessary
- Record requests for home visits and pass them on to the duty doctor
- Maintain confidentiality and handle patient files safely
- File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters
- Conduct patient and GP Registrar surveys
- Assist with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF) and Enhanced Services reporting and planning
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with individual responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
