Job Title: Community Housing Advisor

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a skilled Community Housing Advisor to join our client, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of an exceptional leasehold and tenancy management service, maximizing income from rents and service charges while prioritizing resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Manage a team of professionals to deliver an outstanding leasehold and tenancy management service, focusing on resident-centric approaches.
  2. Resident Engagement: Engage with residents through regular estate inspections, monitoring cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of blocks and estates in partnership with relevant officers/sections.
  3. Estate Action Plans: Collaborate with residents and partner agencies to develop and implement estate action plans addressing individual and local needs of the neighbourhood.
  4. Tenancy Support: Provide general tenancy support to residents to sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.
  5. Advice and Guidance: Offer advice to residents on various Council services, including Housing Benefits, lettings, rent and arrears, resident participation, major works, service charges, and right to buy.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies. A strong understanding of leasehold and tenancy management principles, as well as experience in community development and resident engagement, is essential.
