About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join M&S as a Pricing and Promotions Manager, where you will play a key role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Pricing and Promotions
    Act as a consultant on pricing and promotions strategy to other functions, developing frameworks and tools that help to deliver a consistent and data-led approach to pricing and promotions management.
  2. Initiative Development
    Drive key strategic pricing and promotions initiatives for the Food business, such as Remarkable Value and Dropped & Locked campaigns.
  3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    Form close working relationships with Trading teams to influence the development of a strategic approach to pricing and promotions, providing insight and pricing/promo recommendations.
  4. Data Analysis and Improvement
    Work closely with trading teams and external suppliers to maximise and improve the accuracy of our data and product matches to better reflect our true price position in the market.
Requirements
  1. Experience
    Experience in Pricing & Promotions, with a strong understanding of data analysis and business growth strategies.
  2. Skills
    Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders, developing robust processes, an eye for detail, and the ability to articulate findings.
  3. Communication and Analytical Skills
    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an excellent attention to detail and focus on quality/accuracy of output.
  4. Problem-Solving and Innovation
    Analytical thinker with the ability to dissect complex problems and generate innovative solutions, including advanced Excel skills.
  5. Desirable Skills
    Experience with coding and querying large data sets, such as SQL and Python.
