Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Hays Accounts and Finance. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the day-to-day finance function and delivering timely management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver monthly management accounts, including posting journals, accruals, and prepayments, and variance analysis.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure a controlled environment.
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to them.
  • Prepare monthly payroll journals.
  • Maintain the Fixed asset register.
  • Produce monthly Budget statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts.
  • Assist with the annual audits.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role is essential.
  • AAT or working towards a qualification is desirable.
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of month-end processes, planning, and budgets.
  • Able to work independently.
