**The role**:
You will be the first point of contact for customers. The customer service advisor role includes providing advice on insurance cover across all classes of personal and commercial insurance offered by the NFU Mutual.

On a day-to-day basis you will be dealing with new sales enquiries and producing quotations, existing client policy changes and renewals whilst looking for opportunities to develop sales to facilitate business growth targets across our range of products, all with a ‘can-do’ proactive enthusiasm. This includes introducing our Financial Services offerings which are delivered by a dedicated Financial Adviser.

This will also involve supporting the functioning of the office and assisting with sales campaigns and outbound calling in a regulated environment.

All of this will ensure that the Company continues to enjoy the highest volumes of repeat business and levels of client retention and satisfaction.

You will start your career at NFU Mutual Stratton on the Fosse Agency by gaining your licensing in our Motor and Home insurance products. Once comfortable with these, you will develop into business insurance areas of our product suite. You will have a Personal Development Plan to ensure you are performing in line with the agency’s expectation, but this will be adapted to a pace and style that suits you.

In this role you will put our customers at the heart of your role by building and maintaining customer relationships to enhance profitability.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Acquiring and maintaining a knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products
- Administering all customer instructions to completion and compliance standards to required timeframes and quality standards
- Reviewing and advising customers on their general insurance requirements including midterm policy alterations and renewals
- Enabling cross-selling opportunities to new and existing customers
- Spot opportunities to introduce customers to our Financial Adviser.
- Processing and dispatching renewal documentation
- Developing and sustaining effective working relationships with customers and team colleagues
- Maintain customer relationships, to enhance and protect NFU Mutual’s reputation and brand
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**About you**:

- Ideally, you’ll have a sales and customer service background and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, however insurance experience is not essential. You’ll also recognise opportunities and have the ability to manage the entire sales process. In return, you can look forward to full training in our products and support to gain relevant professional qualifications.
- You should be able to demonstrate the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to provide a fantastic, holistic customer experience to both our existing and prospective clients.
