We are recognised as one of the safest, most customer-centric companies in this space, and we are looking for an experienced Weighbridge Coordinator to join our production team at our plant in Torrs, Shepton Mallet.

The primary role of the Weighbridge Coordinator is to oversee the weighbridge operation, with accountability for the dispatch of products and associated paperwork. This will include managing yard stocks and operations, as well as administrative duties such as raising and managing purchase orders, controlling raw material orders, investigating variances, and undertaking month-end duties.

The successful candidate will have experience in working in an office environment, be confident in working and dealing with people, and possess strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relations with others. Previous experience operating a Weighbridge is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing yard stock levels, loading, unloading, and general operations, housekeeping, and quality checks.
  • Working closely with yard operatives.
  • Assisting and supporting the site with identifying customer complaints and resolving them.
  • Assisting with site KPIs for Health and Safety.
  • Daily production and waste reporting.
  • Raw material usage reporting.
  • Processing purchase orders and related administrative upkeep.
  • To ensure all drivers and visitors are wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensure that any new drivers and visitors are inducted and aware of site rules.
  • Be aware of professional responsibility towards health and safety, use of PPE, reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • To produce an accurate dispatching service for all loads leaving the site.
  • To identify the customer account and product and check all relevant information for the load is correct.
  • Controlling the sites electronic and hard copy administration and filing.
  • Answering the telephone in a professional manner.
  • Maintain the weighbridge office in a clean and tidy manner.
