Product Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Engineer to join our team at Axion Recruitment. As a Product Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, ensuring their products are functioning correctly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers via multiple media channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Support and train in-house and external applications engineers on product usage and troubleshooting.
  • Enable communication between customers and development teams to ensure product needs align with customer feedback.
  • Produce technical documentation and communications to support product usage and troubleshooting.
  • Work with customers to create world-class technical solutions using our products.
  • Collaborate with our R&D team throughout the product development cycle to ensure product needs align with customer feedback.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electronic engineering.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of customer requirements, including typical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation to a professional standard.
  • A valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK, as responsibilities may require domestic and international travel.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience using stand-alone automation systems, such as PLC or Motion Controller.
  • Knowledge of a programming language, such as C, BASIC, or Python.
  • Programming with standard IEC languages.
  • Application and configuration of Industrial Robots.
  • Using real-time deterministic networks, such as EtherCAT.
  • Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs.
  • Practical experience of electrical interfacing between devices in an automation system.
