Job Description

Compass Associates Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Governance and Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of governance and compliance across our services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of good governance and risk management, with a clinical background in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or allied health. You will work closely with the Head of Governance and Leadership Team to support arrangements for governance and the coordination of corporate and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of governance and compliance strategies
  • Lead the preparation of evidence relating to clinical effectiveness and audit for internal and external reports, reviews, and inspections
  • Advise on relevant processes throughout the services
  • Manage data mapping, quality assurance, incident management, and risk assessments
  • Support and lead in operations/governance projects
  • Support or lead in the management and development of policies and procedures
  • Support or lead change management
  • Cascade governance-related information internally
  • Support with all aspects of governance and compliance across all teams
  • Deputise for the Head of Governance
Requirements
  • Experience of regulatory requirements and compliance, legal interactions, procurement, insurance, and contracts
  • Able to investigate, manage, and create actionable service improvement plans through incident/deviation management
  • Experience of creation and delivery of training programmes
  • The ability to research best practices and support implementation across teams
  • The ability to manage the operational aspect of the role regarding governance and compliance
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a recognised qualification in Governance/Risk management
