Shire Healthcare is collaborating with a reputable and leading provider of specialist care and education to recruit for a registered Psychological Therapist. This position will be based in Sunderland.

About the Employer:

This employer is an independent, leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present complexity of needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs.

Job Description:

The appointed candidate will join a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and conduct clinical assessments. They will provide specialist and evidence-based psychological interventions in either a 1:1 or group setting to pupils and residents aged 5-19 years old. This role will be based across specialist schools, children's homes, and integrated provisions. The specific role is based within a school that is Ofsted-rated as an Outstanding Provider.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct clinical assessments
* Provide specialist and evidence-based psychological interventions in 1:1 or group settings
* Work across specialist schools, children's homes, and integrated provisions

Requirements:

Candidates applying must be fully qualified Psychological Therapists with accreditation/registration with the relevant governing body, such as BACP or HCPC. Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs like ASD, autism, neuro-trauma is required.
