Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child Mental Health Specialist to work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.
About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual to provide crucial support to children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Provide mental health support to children with SEMH needs in schools across Sunderland.
- Work with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, and EHCPs.
- Collaborate with a supportive local authority dedicated to tailored support for each child.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere using effective behaviour management techniques.
- Assist students in their personal and academic development.
- A compassionate individual passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- A rigorous, determined, creative, and inspirational approach.
- Caring and passionate about developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals, and the local community.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, as well as access to our DBS Update Service.
