Mental Health Support Position in Schools

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a compassionate and caring individual to provide crucial support to children with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide mental health support: Work closely with children with SEMH needs in schools across Sunderland to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
  2. Support children with ASC and EHCPs: Collaborate with a supportive local authority to provide tailored support for each child, fostering a positive learning atmosphere using effective behaviour management techniques.
  3. Assist in personal and academic development: Help students achieve their full potential by assisting in their personal and academic development.
Requirements:

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
