We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Bedford CAMHS, providing specialist services to children, young people, and their families in the North of Bedfordshire.

Role Description

This role involves delivering high-quality assessments and interventions using evidence-based approaches, while working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans. As a Specialist Clinical Psychologist, you will be expected to work autonomously, contributing to service development projects and providing clinical supervision to other team members.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialist psychological assessment and treatment services to children, young people, and their families
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools and community services
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of training and professional development opportunities for team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • At least 18 months of experience practicing as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist
  • Strong knowledge of legislation related to child and adolescent mental health

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience
