Marketing Director Job Description

At TeacherActive, we are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our marketing strategy, overseeing all aspects of marketing and creative services, and leading a team to create engaging content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive business growth and improve brand awareness.
  • Oversee all areas of marketing and creative services, including digital, direct marketing, print marketing, media marketing, social media marketing, market research, and collaboration with external agencies.
  • Lead a team to create high-quality visual and written content, including blog posts, thought leadership articles, and PR materials.
  • Analyse key marketing performance metrics and use tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to inform marketing decisions.
  • Formulate unique insights to understand customer needs and preferences from a marketing perspective.
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy by using marketing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Manage and organise digital campaigns across the academic year.
  • Oversee the development of the website as a central source of information, optimising SEO to drive traffic, engagement, and conversations.
  • Optimise lead generation and PPC investment.
  • Constantly improve TeacherActive's marketing processes and systems to drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure high-quality and regular blog content, thought leadership articles, and PR is released.
  • Conduct regular research and analysis of competitors.
  • Monitor wider market trends to ensure all potential advertising avenues are explored.
  • Undertake analysis of all marketing initiatives, share learnings with the team, and apply learnings to improve future plans to improve customer experience and ROI.
  • Provide regular updates to the Board on timelines, deliverables, performance, and market analysis.
  • Proactively work with third parties and external stakeholders.
  • Brief employees on current marketing goals, campaigns, and other relevant information.
  • Evaluate team and individual performance, provide feedback, and coaching as appropriate.
  • Manage business plans and budgets, allocate funds, and define financial objectives.
  • Reflect on your own performance to continually improve your knowledge, skills, and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Marketing Director.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
