Residential Children's Worker Opportunity

We are proud to be working with an Ofsted-approved residential childcare provider who currently has an exciting opportunity for Residential Children's Workers to join their team in Wisbech.

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals who will be responsible for providing the highest possible quality of care to assist looked-after children in reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the basic care of children, including assisting with personal care, health care, education, and recreational activities.
  • Proactively support the young person's care plan and ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained.
  • Transport and support young people to and from school, health appointments, and other activities.
  • Prepare and write reports in accordance with the child's needs and organisational requirements.
  • Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans.
Requirements
  • Genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or working towards it (desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience).
  • Full UK driving license and own car are a must.
  • Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
