Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential setting.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and supportive manner.
  • Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support and promote independence and well-being for the young people in your care.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a healthcare or social care setting is also desirable but not essential.
  • You must be a car driver, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 21.
  • You must be able to commute to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
