Job Title: Facilitator (IMPACT Centre)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilitator to join our IMPACT Centre team at the University of Stirling. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and synthesizing evidence, co-designing and delivering improvement projects, and sharing learning with others.

About the Role

This is a part-time (50% FTE) fixed-term position for 12 months, with an expectation of appointments at base spine point. The successful candidate will be based in a host organization (one post in Edinburgh and one post in Aberdeen) and will work closely with our national Facilitator lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and synthesize evidence on a specific topic, including research, lived experience, and practice knowledge.
  • Co-design and deliver an evidence-informed improvement project, working closely with stakeholders and the host organization.
  • Share learning from the project with others, supporting the embedding of lessons learned in policy and practice across the UK.
  • Participate as required in IMPACT's internal evaluation and contribute to the development of new intellectual understanding in the fields of social care and implementation.
  • Disseminate lessons learned and findings to a diverse audience in creative and impactful ways.
Essential Criteria
  • First degree of a good standard relevant to this area of practice or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Understanding of public policy, public services, front-line practice, and/or the realities of people's lives.
  • Experience of applied research and/or the implementation of innovation/new ways of working within a social care or related area of practice and policy.
  • Strong commitment to the principles of co-production and embedding these in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate effectively with a range of different social care stakeholders.
