Youth Justice Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced YOS Officer to join our team in Lewisham. As a YOS Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people who have offended or are at risk of offending.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise young people on out-of-court disposals, community orders, and custodial sentences, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct high-quality assessments, planning, interventions, and reviews with young people, employing effective supervision practices and risk management strategies.
- Manage your workload effectively, applying professional curiosity, critical thinking, and evidence-based research to inform your practice.
- Ensure service users are aware of their rights and entitlements, including data protection and complaints procedures.
- Deliver evidence-based individual and group programs to reduce reoffending, utilizing current best practices and trauma-informed approaches.
- A relevant professional qualification, such as a social work degree or equivalent experience in youth justice.
- Experience of completing comprehensive assessments, developing plans, and delivering interventions for children and young people.
- Experience working with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending.
- A competitive rate of pay: £28.15 per hour.
