Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Genetic Counsellor to join our dynamic team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing expert genetic counselling services to individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide genetic counselling services to patients with cancer, prenatal, and general genetics conditions
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Conduct genetic risk assessments and provide guidance on genetic testing and screening
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in genetic counselling and apply this knowledge to improve patient care
- Master's degree in Genetic Counselling or a related field
- Registration with the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board (GCRB) or equivalent
- Experience in genetic counselling, preferably in a clinical genetics setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
