We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our dynamic team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will play a critical role in providing expert genetic counselling services to individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality genetic counselling services to patients, including risk assessment, genetic testing, and family history analysis.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including students and trainees.
- Participate in education and training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in genetic counselling.
- Master's degree in Genetic Counselling or a related field.
- Registration with the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board (GCRAB) or equivalent.
- Sign-off Mentor/Assessor training.
- Proven experience in genetic counselling, including rare disease and prenatal services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
