About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Nurse to join our Eating Disorders team in Kent and Medway. As a Senior Specialist Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with eating disorders, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with eating disorders, using evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on eating disorders and their treatment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration status.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, such as eating disorders or mental health.
  • Experience working with patients with eating disorders, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and service.
