About the Role
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team in the Oncology Outpatients department. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, including haematology and oncology patients.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in haematology and oncology.
- Teaching/Mentorship qualification (e.g. ENB 998 or equivalent).
- Leadership/management course (desirable).
- IV cannulation and venepuncture skills.
- Ability to manage workload and delegate to others.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
