About the Role
NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Nurse to join our Eating Disorders team in Kent and Medway. As a Senior Specialist Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with eating disorders, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with eating disorders, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and knowledge to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration status.
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to eating disorders.
- Experience working with patients with eating disorders, including assessment, treatment, and care planning.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and policies related to eating disorders.
