About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and supporting our Trust's mission to provide outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and carers, ensuring a person-centered and recovery-focused approach.
  • Develop effective risk management plans and timely review of risk management plans, identifying opportunities for positive risk-taking in conjunction with the client, carers/significant others, and the ward team.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in the co-ordination and management of the ward for a span of duty, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse - NMC.
  • IT literate and proficient in using electronic patient records.
  • Fluent command of the English language and ability to complete and maintain written records professionally.
  • Skills and confidence in clinical risk assessment and management.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2007 and ability to apply it in practice.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • Understanding and ability to work towards making the acute mental health inpatient environment neurodiverse-friendly.
