About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and supporting our Trust's mission to provide outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and carers, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop effective risk management plans and timely review of the risk management plan, identifying opportunities for positive risk taking in conjunction with the client, carers/significant others, and the ward team.
  • Work within a needs-led model of care, co-producing care with patients and carers.
  • Manage the ward for a span of duty, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, with a strong understanding of clinical risk assessment and management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy and intensive environment.
  • Ability to plan and organize the work of Health Care Assistants, with a strong understanding of Productive Mental Health Wards.
  • Knowledge of NSF, Clinical Governance, and latest developments in mental health care.
