Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Staff Nurse to play a crucial role in the training, development, and mentorship of both pre-registration students and qualified radiographers within our radiotherapy department.

The ideal candidate will possess strong motivation, exceptional organizational abilities, and outstanding communication skills. You should be capable of inspiring others and have substantial senior experience in a radiotherapy environment.

Our facilities are equipped with advanced technology, including Halcyons and Truebeams, along with DoF couches and RGSC. Our networked sites ensure seamless collaboration among our team members, which includes radiotherapy assistants, scheduling coordinators, and various levels of radiographers.

At the core of our mission is patient care, and we are looking for professionals who can provide compassionate and respectful care while fostering the same values in their team members.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the organization and delivery of clinical training and education for staff and students in a practical setting.
  2. Provide expert supervision grounded in theoretical knowledge and practical experience, sharing specialized insights into radiotherapy.
  3. Adapt to evolving needs within the practice area, aligning with local and national strategic objectives.
  4. Promote and uphold high standards of patient care, ensuring these standards are prioritized in all new clinical developments or training initiatives.
  5. Coordinate and deliver on-site support for pre-registration educational activities and developmental programs.
  6. Develop and implement tailored personal development plans to address individual training needs.
  7. Exhibit a high level of expertise by contributing to team development through training initiatives.
  8. Maintain clinical competencies at a leadership level.
  9. Ensure a strong clinical presence on the treatment floor and in pre-treatment areas to provide consistent supervision, assessment, and support for new staff and learners across all departments.
