About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Therapeutic Radiographer to join our team at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our radiation therapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a senior member of the team, covering all sections of the department, including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation, and contouring.
  • Deliver a wide range of both simple and complex treatment and IGRT techniques.
  • Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of the clinical workload and assist in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supervise, support, and teach junior members of staff and students.

Requirements
  • Post-registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment.
  • BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
  • HCPC Therapeutic Radiographer registration.
  • Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques together with the principles underlying them.
  • Core knowledge of the principles of radiotherapy treatment planning and radiation dosimetry as applied to radiotherapy treatments.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to use treatment planning systems and virtual simulation software.
  • Knowledge of current IR(ME) Regulations and responsibilities relating to own professional practice.
