Pertemps Scotland, a leading recruitment agency in Edinburgh, is working with a public sector client to fill the role of Housing Assistants. The successful candidate will work in the Craigmillar area, providing administrative support to the housing department.

**Job Details:**

  • Rate: £13.48 per hour
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Duration: Temporary ongoing

The ideal candidate should have experience working within a housing or homeless service environment and possess a full UK driving license.

This position involves administering temporary accommodation services, managing revenue collection, contacting clients to complete housing benefits applications, gathering income proof, and providing business support through various channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling sensitive and personal information in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Managing bills from suppliers and gas force entries
  • Assisting with customer inquiries and service requests
  • General administrative tasks such as mail handling

To succeed in this role, applicants must have knowledge of IT systems, excellent customer service skills, and be able to manage difficult situations effectively.

A basic disclosure is required for this position at an additional cost of £25.
