Lead Pastoral Support

Pastoral Lead / Head of Year Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students who require additional support for their overall development.
Main Responsibilities
- Student Support - Provide guidance and support to students who need additional help with their development, including academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Year Group Development - Develop and maintain a positive ethos within the year group that encourages students to have high expectations of themselves and others and promotes effective learning.
- Behaviour and Attendance - Work with students with challenging behaviour and develop strategies to improve behaviour and attendance.
- Communication - Communicate effectively with parents and carers when discussing sensitive topics.
Requirements
- Experience - Relevant experience working in KS3 and KS4.
- Certification - Enhanced DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Skills - Class control and behaviour management skills.
