Job Title: Pastoral Lead / Head of Year
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Birmingham
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Lead / Head of Year to support students in need of additional academic, social, and emotional support. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the school curriculum and be able to assess and monitor students' progress throughout the academic year.
Main Responsibilities:
- Have a deep understanding of the school curriculum and be able to assess and monitor students' progress.
- Encourage and motivate students to learn and develop their skills.
- Be able to understand students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers when discussing sensitive topics.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working in KS3 and KS4.
- Enhanced DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work with students who require additional support.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Degree is desirable.
