Job Summary:

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Centre Coordinator to join our team in a temperature-controlled environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods, working closely with your team to meet daily operational goals and adapt to changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill daily operational activities and meet personal and warehouse KPIs, maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Organize and complete daily tasks, updating them as needed, and prioritizing urgent requirements to ensure timely completion.
  • Efficiently receive goods and store them in the correct temperature-controlled areas, adhering to quality control procedures.
  • Prioritize cross-docked items and customer backorders, processing them promptly to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, general material handling, and replenishing stock bins for picking.
  • Segregate, record, and update the status of customer returned products, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Accurately pick customer orders based on material number, quantity, batch number, expiry date, and temperature condition, ensuring correct packaging and handling.
  • Use SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to perform tasks, maintaining a high level of proficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with daily inventory checks, maintaining a safe, clean working environment, and undamaged saleable stock.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Team Leaders or the DC Manager, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements:

  • GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths & English, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic mathematics and language skills.
  • Experience in warehousing, with a proven track record of efficient and accurate handling of goods.
  • Leadership experience in a high-performing supply chain team, with a strong understanding of operational efficiency and team management.
  • Expertise in packaging or relevant transferable experience, with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in SAP/IT systems, with a strong understanding of WMS and inventory management.
  • Experience in budget monitoring and operational efficiency, with a focus on cost control and process improvement.
  • Skills in performance management, staff/operational planning, and change management, with a strong understanding of business operations and team dynamics.
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail, with a focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Complex problem-solving and systems analysis, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Service orientation and customer focus, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Management of financial resources, with a focus on budgeting and cost control.
  • Flexibility and teamwork, with a strong ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Conscientiousness, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with a strong understanding of business software and systems.
  • Forklift truck driving experience (desirable but not essential), with a strong understanding of material handling and logistics.
  • Reliable personal transportation required due to location (public transport not available), with a strong ability to commute to work.
  • Candidates should reside within 30 minutes of Burgess Hill, with a strong ability to relocate if necessary.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided, with a strong understanding of the importance of relocation and commuting.
