Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Fulfill daily operational activities and meet personal and warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Task Management: Organize and complete daily tasks, updating them as needed to ensure seamless workflow.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently receive goods and store them in the correct temperature-controlled areas, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Urgent Requirements: Prioritize urgent requirements and process cross-docked items and customer backorders promptly to meet customer expectations.
- Material Handling: Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and general material handling, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Stock Replenishment: Replenish stock bins for picking, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Product Returns: Segregate, record, and update the status of customer returned products, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick customer orders based on material number, quantity, batch number, expiry date, and temperature condition, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Packing and Shipping: Ensure picked products are packed correctly, considering temperature sensitivity and special requirements, to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
- System Utilization: Utilize SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to perform tasks, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Inventory Checks: Assist with daily inventory checks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe, clean working environment and undamaged saleable stock, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Team Leaders or the DC Manager, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Education: GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
- Experience: Experience in warehousing, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Leadership: Leadership experience in a high-performing supply chain team, with a proven track record of driving results and improving efficiency.
- Skills: Expertise in packaging or relevant transferable experience, proficiency in SAP/IT systems, experience in budget monitoring and operational efficiency, skills in performance management, staff/operational planning, and change management, strategic thinking and attention to detail, complex problem-solving and systems analysis, service orientation and customer focus, management of financial resources, flexibility and teamwork, conscientiousness, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Additional Requirements: Forklift truck driving experience (desirable but not essential), reliable personal transportation required due to location (public transport not available), and candidates should reside within 30 minutes of Burgess Hill.
